Here are some of the wonderful places to dine while visiting the Isolabona
area..
Isolabona
Piambo's - coffee house and bar. Open from early morning to late night. It
is the gathering place for locals, merchants and visitors. Hosts are Simone
(male) and Barbara. In the winter they serve lunch and dinner and they are
renowned for their dried stewed cod fish (Stocafisso).
LuLa Pizzeria - famous for its pizzas, fugasun (spinach tart), farinata
(garbanzo tort). Ask for Claudio. He is the owner and speaks English as well
as other languages. (Don't talk American politics with him)
Agritusmo La Molinella - dinner by reservation only. Fantastic formal dinner
house. One seating nightly. Six course dinner featuring local products. Host
is Michele (male - pronounced (MICK - K - LEI). He is one of the owners and
his brother, the other owner, is the chef.
Bruno's Restorante - Princess Grace Kelly's favorite restaurant.
Specializing in local Italian and French cooking. Open for dinner only. Take
the road to Apricale but don't go past the castle!
Ristorante da Adolfo - about 1 mile from the center of Isolabona going
towards Pigna on Via Roma. Open for lunch and dinner. Dining inside and
outside on the terrace. Regional and classic Italian dishes.
Pigna
The Tea House on Via Roma offers light fare, teas, pastries, alcoholic
beverages and occasionally sandwiches. Above the Tea House there is a
pizzeria and full menu restaurant. If Tony is there you will be able to
converse in many languages including English.
Lago Bin is just above the mineral baths. It is a 4-star Michelin restaurant and
serves traditional continental fare.
There is a upscale restaurant at the Grand Hotel de La Terme is reputed to
be one of the most romantic spots in the area.
